We are happy to announce to begin the 2nd batch of training on Psychotraumatology and EMDR with the assistance of Trauma Aid / HAP Switzerland. The first introductory course on psychotraummatology by Ms. Hanna Egli-Bernd, Dipl. Psych., Psychotherapist, Supervisor in Psychotraumatology and EMDR, will commence from February 11-12, 2017. For enrollment in the process of long-term, intensive and demanding Psychotraumatology and EMDR training, we are inviting practicing psychologist, psychiatrists, and experienced practicing mental health workers, committed to serve the traumatized population of our country.

Mental Health First Aid- Standard Course

Date: 28-29 October 2016                                           Time: 10am-5pm

 What is Mental Health First Aid-Standard Course?
The two day Mental Health First Aid course trains adults how to provide initial support to adults who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis. The course curriculum is based on the MHFA Guidelines. It is an international initiative currently being delivered in 24 countries in the world including Bangladesh. Course participants receive a copy of the Standard MHFA Manual to keep and a Certificate of Completion.

Why should you attend this standard course?
By attending the standard course, you will be able-

  • To recognize the symptoms of mental health illnesses and to provide initial help
  • To guide a person towards appropriate professional help
  • To preserve life where a person may be a danger to themselves or others and to raise awareness

Who can attend this course?

  • Open for all
  • Pre-registration is mandatory for the seminar and workshops, since the number of seat is limited

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety means afraid or nervous especially about what may happen. Children often experience a general state of worry or fear before confronting something challenging such as a test, examination, recital, or interview. These feelings are easily justified and considered normal. Anxiety is considered a problem when symptoms interfere with a one’s ability to sleep or otherwise function. Generally, anxiety occurs when a reaction is out of proportion with what might be normally expected in a situation.

Why should you attend this workshop?

By attending the workshop, you will be able-

  • To recognize the symptoms of anxiety
  • To deal anxious child
  • To guide a child towards appropriate professional help
